Just my luck that my Christmas present (new motherboard,cpu,memory) has a problem.

The motherboard works except the SATA1 connector is disengaged from the motherboard.

SATA drive number 1 is DOA

SATA drive number 2 can be seen but can't be formated.

*sigh* waiting on the retailer/seller(s) to contact me about how to go about returning them...

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody did this, there would be no point in stealing mobile phones.

Happy Solstice to everyone (I know. I'm a little late.)

I finished up my Christmas shopping last night. Chaos and Mayhem are at the Grandparents since Wednesday evening. Yeah! Freedom for a few days. And a chance to wrap presents for them tonight. They are coming back with the Grandparents tomorrow though so it will be hectic once again.

Work is slow today and I hope that I will get to leave early. At least I get to wear jeans.

Today is my last day at work for the year. I have vacation after Christmas holiday on Monday for the rest of the week. That will be nice. Although Stepdaughter will be up next week so four children between two adults will be interesting. We are so outnumbered.

Last Saturday, I did something I hadn't done in probably 20 years. I went roller skating with my oldest for her classmate's birthday party. I have the bruises to prove it. It was pretty fun; Chaos had fun, and now I want skates and do it again. *sigh* Yet another thing that I would love to have but probably won't get. Those suckers are expensive.

Well I wasn't consumed in the casting. Fairly efficient with a Prosecutor and Defense (DA office, if needed) Attorney present. $10 bucks to park. But you got some back if it was less than 1.5 hours.

After pleading nolo (no contest), I got a $75 fine with "mandatory state surcharges" which led to a $117 ticket or 2 days in jail. I paid the fine.

Interesting thing was that they had a "Smart" Court reporter. It was all electronic. That was the highlight of my day.
